New Marquette Hospital
UP Health System - Marquette is enhancing the medical community and economic development in the region with its plans to construct a new, $300 million hospital campus. Groundbreaking is slated for spring 2016 and occupancy in spring of 2019.
The new hospital campus will include a state-of-the-art, 265-bed hospital and 80,000 square foot medical office building, and will be located in the heart of Marquette on a 37-acre site known as the "Roundhouse Property."
The 37-acre site, locally known as the "Roundhouse Property," will offer easy access from Washington Street and US 41. Nearby amenities abound from quick access to downtown Marquette. The Iron Ore Heritage Trail, a 48-mile, multi-use, year round trail borders the location, offering ease of access to the new facilities by bike or walking.
As you can imagine, this exciting project involves a great deal of time and effort to ensure that UP Health System – Marquette meets the ever-growing and changing healthcare needs of our community for years to come. We plan to post specific details, building renderings and timelines for the project as they become available. Visit our page for the New Marquette Hospital for more information and updates!
