UP Health System (UPHS), in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, has opened a search for two BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologists to join our Cancer Care Team. This three-hospital system is home to the Federally Designated Regional Referral Center to the residents (300k) of the UP. Two Locations, One Team:
- UP Health System – Marquette in Marquette, hospital system main campus
- UP Health System – Portage in Hancock
Opportunity Detail:
- Prefer BC/BE in Hem/Onc but BC/BE in Oncology is required
- Estimated 18-25 patients per day
- Call shared among physicians
- Patient population includes broad range of solid tumors, hematologic malignancies, and benign hematologic conditions
Practice Detail:
- Hospital employed and well established throughout both communities
- Currently three physicians, two APPs, two Rad/Oncs
- Chemotherapy administered on-site at both locations
- Collegial and supportive medical staff
- Patient navigators, financial counselors, and oncology social worker
- Tumor Registry with three Certified Tumor Registrars; weekly multidisciplinary Tumor Board and quarterly Tumor Site Committees
- Part of the Duke Cancer Care Network
