UP Health System -- Marquette is now accepting qualified Hematologist/Oncologist candidates to join our Cancer Care Team. Candidates may include MD or DO practicing physicians, recent graduates and near future graduates.

Opportunity Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Medical Oncology or Board Eligible within five years of residency is required
  • Board Certified in Hematology/ Oncology or Board Eligible within five years of residency is preferred

Opportunity Details:

  • Physician Group Employed Position
  • Expectations: Primarily outpatient care of 18-25 patients per day, 40-50 new patients per month, averaging 100 patients per week with room for growth
  • Current Practice Structure: Hematologist/Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Pharmacists, Phlebotomists, Lab Techs, RNs, LPNs, Clerical Staff, Financial Counselors, Oncology Certified Social Worker, Patient Navigators and Genetic Counselor
  • Schedule: Mon-Thurs 8-5, Fri 8-3:00. Call 1:3 weekdays, 1 weekend per month with daily rounding
  • Location: Office is located less than a mile from the hospital and will be moving April 2019 to the new Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology Center at the new UPHS Hospital with 16 chemotherapy infusion chairs and 3 private chemotherapy rooms
  • Equipment and Services: Duke Cancer Network affiliation for program development and oncology research protocols. Alliance Clinical Trials with 12 open oncology research trials. Well established weekly Tumor Board. Tumor Registry Department with three certified Tumor Registrars. Full array of equipment within practice and hospital
