UP Health System -- Marquette is now accepting qualified Neonatologist candidates to join our team. Applicants may include MD or DO practicing physicians, recent graduates or near future graduates.

Opportunity Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Neonatology or Board Eligible within five years of Residency 
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certified
  • Intubation, Chest tube placement, Placement of central lines, Paracentesis, Spinal taps, exchange transfusion, thermal cooling, ventilator management including oscillators and iNO

Opportunity Details:

  • Physician Group Employed Position
  • Expectations: Level III NICU without surgical sub-specialties, Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Pulmonary Hypertension, Pneumothorax, Sepsis, Seizures, Stabilize surgical cases for transport out, VLBW, NAS
  • Current Practice: Cohesive group with 1 Neonatologist, 3NNPs, 1 Nursing Clinical Director, 32 RNs (includes transport RNs)
  • Schedule: Flexible scheduling with partner, generally work in unit to round and manage daily unit census, NNP takes first call at night while Neonatologist called in with complex cases. Average after hours call in less than 10 per month
  • Location: NICU within hospital, Spring of 2019 practice will move to new hospital
  • Equipment and Services: Full equipment, MRI, CT, EEG, with hospital Paragon EHR. General Pediatrics, Pediatric Neurology, Infectious disease, contracts for consultation with the University of Michigan Cardiology and Ophthalmology. Also abilities for consults with Neonatologists at multiple Children's Hospitals
